教材分析：本课出自牛津译林高中英语选择性必修二的第二单元。本版块的语篇是一篇网站文章，话题为“奥林匹克运动会”。文章介绍了奥运会的方方面面，包括其起源、奥运名将的励志故事以及中国在奥运会上所取得种种成就，字里行间洋溢着对奥运精神的歌颂和对世界各国奥运健儿的赞许。

教学目标、重难点：（1）让学生们学习一些关于奥运的单词；（2）学会用这些单词写句子和作文；（3）情感教育。
